Since 1989

From its humble beginnings near Avinashi, a place well known for Greige sheeting availability. With a new operation center in Tirupur in 1989, S.P. Apparels established as a trustworthy garment exporter. S.P. Apparels made a daring entry to the market as a trader without any production facility. In 1990, S.P. Apparels was moved to Avinashi from Tirupur along with S.P. Textiles.

Execution of the Sub-Licensing Agreement with our Subsidiary, CPPL to manufacture, distribute and market products under the ‘Crocodile’ brand.

Acquisition of the Spinning Mill

Amalgamation of Sri Balaji Bakkiam Spinning Mills with our Company.

2007
Natalia

Acquisition of the brand “Natalia” on February 20, 2007. From 2007, new satellite factories were established to increase sewing capacity. This initiative by SPAL helped to mobilize workers.

2006
NYLIM Jacob Ballas & Crocodile

Investment by NYLIM Jacob Ballas in our Company pursuant to the SSSA.

Acquisition of majority shareholding in Crocodile Products Private Limited.

Established at Perundurai – Sipcot

S.P. Apparels spread its wings into the retail market by acquiring major stakes in “Crocodile” and became the manufacturer and retailer of Crocodile menswear in India. It also has an exclusive license to manufacture and market sportswear and footwear.

2005
Set-up first in-house printing

A brand new automated printing unit was established in Avinashi and later moved to Thekkalur. State of the art facility occupying over 500 sqft and a capacity of 1000 m/cs became operational. This facility has everything under one roof, from cutting to packing and hostel facilities.

Conversion of the partnership firm to our Company. Set-up first in-house printing facility at Avinashi. Commissioning of our own dyeing plant at SIPCOT, Perundurai.
